Henry Zhu Joins Amrop's China Team

Spearheading Amrop China’s integrated Leadership Services offering, Henry Zhu advises global as well as domestic clients on Board and Executive Search, Assessment and Leadership Development.

Before joining Amrop, Henry ran a boutique search firm in Shanghai, serving primarily fast growing private Chinese companies in multiple sectors including Internet, High-Tech, Consumer and Professional Services.

Henry started his executive search career ten years ago as a founding member of an international executive search firm’s Technology practice in Beijing, co-managing a number of global accounts. Later he joined another global search firm as Executive VP in Shanghai.

Prior to executive search, Henry was a management consultant for over ten years. He was Director Corporate Development at BearingPoint, helping the consulting firm build strategic alliances with tech giants such as Microsoft, IBM, SAP and Oracle. Henry also served as a Director at Accenture’s Communications and High-Tech Operating Group, managing complex consulting projects and serving as a subject matter expert. He also led Accenture’s effort to complete its first ever JV deal in China. Earlier in his career, Henry worked for Accenture in the San Francisco Bay Area and for CSC in London.

Born and raised in Shanghai, Henry holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Communications Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and an MBA from ESSEC in France.
