Heidrick & Struggles Names Co-Managing Partners of Global CEO & Board Practice

Heidrick & Struggles has named Bonnie Gwin and Jeff Sanders Co-Managing Partners of the firm's global CEO & Board Practice, effective immediately. The global CEO & Board practice advises companies on succession planning, talent management, board effectiveness and culture shaping, and also places directors and CEOs at leading private and public companies.

Gwin, based in New York, has been named by the NACD Directorship to its Directorship 100 list of most influential boardroom recruiters every year since 2010. Prior to being named co-managing partner of the global CEO & Board Practice, Gwin served as managing partner of the firm's Board Practice in North America where she focused on succession planning and searches for both directors and CEOs across a wide range of industries. Gwin also previously led the Americas, overseeing the firm's operations in North and Latin America. She spent nearly 13 years with the IBM Corporation prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles. Gwin holds combined bachelor's and master's degrees from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.

Sanders, who joined Heidrick & Struggles in 1997, brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role. He is co-located in the New York and San Francisco offices and has led the firm's North American CEO Practice for the past eight years. During this time, he has successfully advised organizations on critical talent issues including succession planning and has also executed high-profile CEO and director searches for companies in varying industries. Previously, he was responsible for the firm's Venture Capital and Software Practices. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Sanders received his bachelor's degree in business administration.
