Spencer Stuart: Responsibilities for Today’s CEO
Banco Santander Brazil Chairman Sergio Rial recently sat down with Spencer Stuart for an interview. In addition to his role with Banco Santander, Rial sits on the boards of Delta Air Lines and Cyrela Brazil Realty. Previously, he served as CEO of food processing giant Marfrig Global Foods. And was chief financial officer and board director for the worldwide food conglomerate Cargill. In the interview Sergio Rial discusses top priorities for CEOs today.
The following is an excerpt from the interview: "Talent is a CEO prerogative. Talent starts with the CEO and people really follow people. I always say good advice for people in early years, is don’t look for job, look for great leaders. Instead of looking for a job look to be led by someone who will be teaching you a lot, this will serve you a lot more than a job.”
