Saxton Bampfylde Partners with Civil Service to Launch New Disability Mentoring Programme REACH
Saxton Bampfylde has teamed with the Civil Service to launch a new mentoring programme designed to help support Civil Service employees with disabilities to maximise their career potential.
Mentors participating in the programme are executive level leaders from outside the Civil Service who have either a lived experience of disability or have been involved in shifting the dial on improving development opportunities, career progression and the wider workplace environment for people with any form of disability.
The intention of the year-long programme is to give Grade 7 to Deputy Director level civil servants with disabilities a safe forum to talk with someone who understands their situation; for mentees to share their concerns with progressing in their career as a person with a disability and for mentors to help provide guidance, support and reflections on their own journeys, as the mentees move to the next level in their career.

“I’m delighted to be launching the REACH programme in partnership with Saxton Bampfylde, a mentoring scheme that will help support high performing Grade 7 to Deputy Director level civil servants with disabilities. The Civil Service has many talented people with visible or non-visible disabilities who would make great senior leaders. Being matched with a mentor from outside of Government is a great way for individuals to focus on their personal development and to realise their career aspirations.”
