Heidrick & Struggles Grows Philadelphia Office with New Principals
Heidrick & Struggles enhances its education and non-profit expertise with the addition of J.J. Cutler and Jackie Zavitz to the firm. Both will be based in the Philadelphia office.
Joining as principals, Cutler and Zavitz each bring strong experience in their respective industries to further distinguish the firm's Education, Non-Profit and Social Enterprise (ENSE) practice.
"J.J.'s strong experience and background in both the nonprofit and for-profits sector will help our practice serve clients across C-suites and boardrooms," said Eric Joseph, Regional Managing Partner for the firm's ENSE practice. "With Jackie's expertise within the education sector, she will bring a fresh and unique perspective spanning executive search and higher education management, positioning her well as a leadership advisor."
Cutler had been national sector leader at a global executive search firm focused on senior-level and executive searches for nonprofit, social service, and education-related organizations, including institutions of higher education. He previously had been an executive vice president with Aramark, where he led sales, retention and marketing for a $1.5 billion division. Cutler started his career at Johnson & Johnson where he held senior roles in leading consumer brands, wellness carve-outs, JVs, and biotech. He was named to the Philadelphia Business Journal "40 under 40" list of influential young executives.
Zavitz specializes in education, serving top tier colleges and universities in leadership succession for key administration leadership roles, with experience in identifying presidents and chancellors, provosts and deans, as well as finance and administration leadership. She had been a principal at another global executive search firm in its education practice. Prior to her work in executive search, Zavitz held several leadership roles at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of The Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders, given by The Forum of Executive Women in Philadelphia.
"The addition of these two well-respected consultants provides momentum as we continue to grow our presence in Philadelphia, an important center for business and non-profit organizations," said Alyse Bodine, Partner in Charge at Heidrick's Philadelphia office.
