TRANSEARCH Romania is looking for a Strategy & Development Manager for the Romcim by CRH Romania Group, a global leader in the field of construction materials. The role involves the definition and implementation of the company's strategic and development initiatives, especially potential acquisition projects, from origin to integration. The role has an M&A, strategy and big CAPEX component. It is a hands-on role, with great possibilities for growth in the company/group. The main focus in expertise in the M&A field. 

Strategy & Development Manager Romania is a country-level position that encompasses specific responsibilities across all CRH companies in Romania. He/ She will be reporting to the Strategy & Development Director Romania.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the definition and implementation of strategic and development plans for CRH businesses in Romania.
  • Coordinate the structuring of information flow and relevant macroeconomic indicators, specific trends in relevant industries including innovations, and convey this information to the top management team through specific reports, including coordinating market studies requested by the top management team.
  • Serve as the interface between the top management team and senior managers across all lines of business to ensure the implementation of development plans/initiatives and potential acquisition projects and assist in their integration into CRH businesses in Romania.
  • Identify synergies, advocate for support solutions, and coordinate contribution and cooperation among all lines of business regarding strategic and development initiatives.
  • Lead development/acquisition projects: ensure communication with key stakeholders, project management for implementation, communication with external business partners, and completion of due diligence procedures.
  • Develop financial models and financial/business analyses related to development plans/initiatives and potential acquisition projects.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of CRH group's regional development projects.
  • Assist in the coordination and continuous development of the Strategy and Development team members.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Professional Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, MA/MBA, CFA, ACCA certified – preferred
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Relevant previous professional experience in the following areas of expertise: strategic planning and business development, M&A, private equity, financial analysis, strategic consulting on M&A projects, interpretation, and analysis of macroeconomic market indicators.
  • Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing companies' specificities.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, business risk assessment, and business development potential.
  • Competencies, knowledge, and experience in project management for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
