Membership Criteria

To be eligible for membership prospective members must:

Be a retained executive search firm. Retained executive search consulting is a specialized form of management consulting that assists organizations to define and recruit for senior management positions. It is performed only under contract and on an exclusive basis.
Comply with the AESC Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Guidelines.

Membership Application Process

A prospective member firm must:

Complete an application form. Information disclosed in the application form is kept confidential with the AESC secretariat.
Provide names of 2 references from consultants in different AESC member firms who will serve as sponsors. AESC will contact sponsors and ask for letters of recommendation.
Provide client references. AESC will contact 2 clients.
Participate in a site visit. A member of the appropriate AESC Regional Council will visit the offices of the prospective member firm to verify the firms compliance with membership criteria.
Council Review. The appropriate AESC regional Council will review the completed application for approval.
